| Cemetery Report - 2008: August 18 - Mowed and weed eater used. August 25 - Small and large roots removed, which were causing damage to the headstones. The roots were from the fallen trees in the early '08 storm. Weed eater used. August 27 - mowed. August 22, funds available for mower, or fence work. We haven't decided which to use it for at this time. We still need more funds either way. Please take a moment and consider a donation of money, or offering to buy a section of fence for the cemetery. We will be happy to acknowledge your contribution on a plaque to be added at the cemetery in the future. We also need to purchase headstones for some which are missing, stolen or otherwise lost over time. We are thinking of buying one marker and putting all the names on it, or purchasing small stones for each which are missing or have been stolen. The cost for small stones, like the one pictured above, was $98 in 2004. They are probably around $120 now. You are encouraged to purchase one at your expense, which you may find at a lower cost than the one quoted. If you are interested in doing this, contact us. We will be happy to give you information. |
